Our Story

In the mist of the Pandemic more local families decided to home-school their children. Families who were already home-schooling immediately saw the need for a local co-op. Many of these families were traveling to other co-ops over 30 minutes away. The Parish Church of the Nazarene, when approach with the request to use their facility for a gathering place, not only made their facilities available but supported the co-op on a scale that was unexpected.

A member of their congregation and fellow home-school mom graciously accepted the role of president and other members of the congregation actively participated in the start of this co-op.

Kindergarten Skills Class

I'm so excited to be a part of Educating Arrows Homeschooling Program. I've been a part of this program since it began. I am a retired Elementary Teacher from APW school district and taught 1st grade and kindergarten for most of my career. I have a passion for teaching and helping children grow and develop a love for learning. I am a mom of 2 daughters. I look forward to working with our home-schooling families.

Laura Stoker

PE Teachers Assistant

Laura has been a homeschool mom for 4 years, has a Bachelors in Science for Business Management, is a Crossfit Level 1 Instructor, and a certified nutritionist.

I found the love for crossfit after my first child and we have been an active family since. We love to bike ride, camp and compete in all things.

Learning how to move and feed our bodies can keep us moving for many years to come.

Kristin Sullivan

Science

I graduated from SU with a degree in English and am on my 7th year homeschooling. I love doing things the "old fashioned" way, so many of my classes focus on learning practical, sometimes forgotten, life skills. I live on a small homestead with my husband and 3 kids where we primarily raise dairy goats. I look forward to working with your children!

Raina Ellis

General Art Skills

Raina has always enjoyed art in many different aspects. Whether it’s painting, sculpting, design or architecture, art is a huge part of her everyday life.
Our imaginations come to life when we start an art project. Which helps us to plan, problem solve, and work out solutions. But also to know that everyone’s ideas of art and expression are different, unique, and just right. To know a lot of times it’s good to just relax and go with the flow. And these concepts are what she hopes to help your children discover.
This will be her third year homeschooling and her family lives a few miles outside of Parish.

Kimberly Rudd

Chorus Teacher

Hi! My name is Kimberly and I enjoy drinking coffee, time on a hammock, crafting, traveling, and music. I have three kiddos, and we are in our 5th year of homeschooling! I am excited to teach music again this fall.

I have enjoyed teaching our music class and am excited to do another session. I've loved music all my life and have been singing since a young age and have been in multiple choirs throughout my life. I look forward to teaching our group in choir this year and hope to help them learn some new music skills.

Jenny Austin

Pianist/ Kindergarten Movement

I grew up in Texas, but after I married my husband 7 years ago, we've been loving life in New York. We have three kids who also attend co-op. Piano has been my favorite instrument to play since I started junior high, although I have a couple other instruments I enjoy too. Music is just too good not to share! I look forward to sharing the love of music with our students!
